During the first year of use, teak furniture weathers to a beautiful silver gray when left outdoors. When left in the sun and rain, the oils in the teak wood push to the surface causing the teak wood to patina.
Our teak furniture will last for years without maintenance, however, pollen, dirt, sap and bird droppings will affect its appearance. Use our water based teak cleaner to keep your teak furniture looking fresh and clean. Apply our water based teak protector to maintain the rich golden appearance year after year. This process is very simple, does not require heavy scrubbing, and will take about 30 minutes for one bench.
Note: This cleaner should only be used if you want to remove the silver-grey color. To clean the furniture without removing the silver-grey simply use soap and water. Should you want to maintain the golden brown color, apply our teak protector after cleaning. It is not necessary to use the cleaner on a new piece. The protector should be reapplied seasonally.
